Is it back to school time already? I can't believe it's August, and students have already started the 2023-2024 school year. While we are still feeling the summer temperatures here in Arizona, the senior portrait season is officially open, and I'm thrilled to put some new education into action.
This summer, I had the exciting opportunity to study with Eli Infante, a top Westcott Lighting Top Pro. The workshop in Jerome, Arizona, focused on the use of lighting in creative ways to produce breathtaking images. In photographer speak, we used hi-speed sync, colored gels, and optical spots to make magic, but how this translates for you is more tools in my toolbox to add to your senior portrait session experience.
There is so much more to creating beautiful images than showing up with a camera and clicking 70+ snapshots in an hour. In order to create images that make an impact, there must be planning, styling, a great location, and a photographer that knows lighting.
Lighting is the ingredient that makes or breaks an image, and I'm thrilled to be able to share this new education with you.
So, cheers to school starting and the class of 2024! Let's capture some gorgeous images.
